Our Review

We see so many exciting, some would say slightly crazy, fashion designs from Trasparenze that it is almost a surprise to come across a basic sheer.. but then a quick look at the two word description provided with our sample shows they are not sheers at all but “tulle”.

Tulle is a very fine net, somewhere between micro-net and sheer, think bridal veil or old fashioned lace curtains and you will have the right idea.

Constableuction is what you would expect of quality sheer tights, sheer to waist, shaped legs, sandal toe, flat seams in the panty and a lined gusset.

Sizing follows the standard for Trasparenze sheer and fashion tights with 4 sizes to fit from 4’9” to 6’1” (145-180 cm) and 100-187lbs (45-85kg)... [not quite precise equivalents but close enough].  Our test pair came in size 3, to fit up to 175cm and 75kg.    The combination of 15% Lycra and the tulle knit provided plenty of stableetch to go a good 10% over these figures and still get a good fit but the sizing is perfectly accurate.   

Whether you take the stableetch to the limit or not the fit is excellent and unlike with sheer tights of a similar weight you can really feel the tights holding your curves from hip to toe.

So why would you wear a 20 denier tulle tight rather than a sheer?  Well they feel more durable, they are more engaging to wear and you get a greater apparent colour density.   The denim blue of our test pair could have looked a little washed out on a 20 denier sheer.    You get perfectly even colour, and good colour density without extablea weight which is great for warmer weather.

From more than a few steps away the look is sheer and the way the material catches the light as follows the shape of your leg is very eye-catching. Only closer too is the tulle knit visible.

All in all excellent tights that offer something a little different at a sensible price. The denim blue is our colour of choice but both black and natural will look good too.
