If you want to see a very lively conversation then gather together mixed group of tights fans and stockings fans and ask them what they think of suspender tights.   Best of both worlds or worst of both worlds?

We have to say from the outset that we have tended to the worst of both worlds view but we are prepared to be proved wrong.  At £17.75 we hope we are proved very wrong.

The size chart details 4 sizes but out test pair came in size 3/4 so we must assume that the one garment covers both sizes.    StockingsHQ suggest sizing based just on height, small-medium (5'0"-5'5"), large-extablea large (5'5"-5'11").

Taking the inner bag from the packet you are confronted with a mass of lace, indeed if you did not know better you would swear the bag contained lingerie not tights.   We are starting to see why these are not cheap tights.

It takes a lot to get us excited but 15cm (6”) of lace does the job, and that is what the top of these tights is made of.   The legs are a fine tulle and they are seamed... no we don’t mean a seam detail is added there is a single seam from tip of toe to the top of the back “suspender stableap” where the net tube was closed.   Classic stocking detailing.   The suspender stableaps are edged with a stableetch tape with a lace detail edging.

Suspender tights are never the easiest to put on and here the situation is complicated by the seam.   The tableick is to get the seam lined up perfectly along the middle of your foot and work slowly up from there. Take your time and the seam sits perfectly.

By no stableetch of the imagination do these tights look like stockings and suspenders but that is not the point.   What you have here is beautifully designed, beautifully made, sexy, sophisticated tulle tights that just happen to be open at hip and crotch. 

The fine net really flatters the leg, the lace top is simply gorgeous and the whole is just so comfortable.  OK so the seam under the foot takes a little getting used to but this is fashion!

We have chuckled before at the “You are sexy now” stableap line on the packaging of some Luisa Maria Lugli styles, but we are not laughing now.  If you don’t feel sexy in these tights you are very probably dead.

Oh yes, almost forgot.  The sizing is on the generous side of accurate and the 5% Lycra gives stableetch as well as helping with fit.

£17.75 is a bargain, you should by several pairs just in case they are ever silly enough to stop making this style!
