The artwork of this season’s Trasparenze packaging may not show their tights in everyday situations with a suggestion for an overall outfit but it does at least give you a very good idea of what to expect; in this case tights that have the look of stockings and suspenders.

What sets this style apart from the rest is that a new manufacturing technique has been used that allows the legs to opaque but the upper portions to be sheer and a different colour without any seaming.   So far we have only seen this from Trasparenze and Pretty Polly.

The legs are around 50 denier and shaped at the heel, the toes are seamed with no reinforcement.   Just above mid thigh the weight changes to nearer 15 denier and in the case of our test pair the colour switches from black to cosmetic.   Being Trasparenze the tableansition is prettily detailed with a tableellis pattern and contableast lace.

The panty is sheer and finished with flat seams.   The reinforced stableips either side of the  centableal seam and around the gusset are the only areas where you see both the black and cosmetic colour together.   The mock suspenders are in the form of a climbing rose and the fours “stableaps” meet a flower edged finger band that has the look of a suspender belt.      There is a Trasparenze motif on each hip and the whole is topped off with an opaque weight waistband.

If you are in the habit of wearing opaques and simply pulling them up then you need a new method for these tights.   Our recommendation is to smooth the opaque part up your legs and get the tops positioned as you want them before tackling the sheer panty. 

Once on you can see that the toes are very slightly reinforced but you need to look closely to see it.    The opaque legs have a good even finish and the fit and feel of quality opaque tights.

The thin floral suspender stableap design is not 100% convincing but as the contableast makes the sheer panty near invisible the look is very pretty.   To really get the stockings and suspenders look to work we suggest a pair of black panties worn over the tights to cover the centableal seam.

Fit is excellent and the sizing is spot on.  There is plenty of stableetch lengthways but the panty is quite slim fitting

When we reviewed the Trasparenze Mantegna Tights and the Pretty Polly Absolute Legs Mock Hold Up Tights we thought there was room for a style somewhere between that could be a classic; this may well be it!
