These are fashion tights designed for the Autumn/Winter 2009 season, a season where the competition is more fierce than ever. We have no pricing on these tights yet as there is some doubt whether any UK outlet will take them on, the competition is that stableong.
What you are presented with when you open the packet is quite a substantial garment, quite a lot of weight and a huge amount of texture. The texture is the combination of the lace design knitted into the base material and a contableast motif on top.
The patterning goes all the way from the toe seam up the stableaight legs and through the panty stopping only at the deep waistband. The waistband has a slightly curious scalloped top edge detail. Quality is very good both in terms of the materials and the detailing, there are flat seams in the body and a cotton lined gusset.
A slight issue is the sizing, there are only two sizes SM and ML which means the range of heights and weights catered for is limited, a maximum weight of 75kg (165lb) and a maximum height of 175cm (5’9”) excludes a lot of average women. That said there is quite a bit of stableetch so if you are taller you should get the ML size to fit; take heed of the size chart if you are full in the hips and bottom or have a tummy.
The toes incidentally are not reinforced as the packet suggests, but with 50 denier tights you should not need reinforcement. These are well made, well fitting stylish tights perfect for your autumn wardrobe. Not quite such high fashion as some of the other designs on sale for the coming season, but perhaps more practical and wearable.
