Our Review

One of the strengths of the Wolford brand is that they keep their range of sheer styles pretty constant; great for regular customers but frustrating for us as it means there is little or no excuse to return to a style in a new season to see how it has changed.  Today joy of joys we have the treat of an addition to the Wolford range, sheer summer tights.

Wolford tights generally exude quality as soon as you release them from their packaging but that was less obvious with style.  The quality is there though; the ever so light legs are shaped at the heel and finished with the finest of toe seams, a sandal toe of course for the summer.  The panty is in the high leg style, plain and around twice the weight of the leg; finished with a flat seam and a cotton lined gusset and topped with a deep waistband bearing the Wolford motif.

The light fabric gives your legs a caress as you put the tights on... then it simply disappears leaving just a perfect smooth finish more “tanned teenage legs” than hosiery.  The panty is just heavy enough for you to consider wearing these tights without underwear, particularly if you have already planned for a skimpy bikini as part of your summer wardrobe.

Fit is perfect, so comfortable that you may forget you are wearing hosiery.  The sizing is accurate and there is lots of stretch (our reviewer normally wears large in Wolford but medium were still a comfortable fit).

Wolford call these “perfect summer tights” and we have to agree... £11.00 is cheap for Wolford too, although we would not expect these to be as durable as some of their classic lines.

Too bad we are just back from our summer holiday! You should buy some for yours.
