We decided to test these pantyhose out of sequence because they are the first Hanes product we have managed to get for review. American readers will be very familiar with this brand and we now see why they are best sellers in the USA.

We don’t review much “own brand” hosiery, for a number of reasons. These tights turn all preconceptions on their head, well made tights, beautiful on the leg at an everyday price.

All reviews updated with a sub heading “Our Review” to show where the maker’s description or packet notes end and our comments begin. We added this after an unnamed store attacked us for poor grammar in the description of their products. The poor grammar was in fact on the packets and in the literature of the suppliers they were suggesting we showed in a poor light with “our” poor English.

We finally reviewed the Max Mara Premium 13 Tights that we added to the site several months ago. These would have been great in the summer, much lighter than their 13 denier weight suggests and very similar to wear to the Falke Shelina Tights.

After our recent trip to London we have a real treat for you, tights from Fogal.

The most expensive tights we ever tried, and very probably the best too, right up there with Wolford.. and perhaps beyond.

Today we have reviewed the Fogal California Tights, perfection if you like a vibrant glossy finish.

Review added for Gipsy Soft Shine Tights. These are part of the Luxury range from Gipsy. This range is so much better than the rest of what Gipsy offer that they almost deserve their own brand. Well done to Gipsy for producing some of the very best value sheer hosiery. Elegance on a budget.

Review added for Gipsy Medium Fishnet Tights. After our recent disappointment wit the regular fishnet from Gipsy we are delighted to say that these are the best large net tights we have tried.

The Shop update continues. The Falke Shop and Levante Shop both now include products supplied by our new partner Alex Blake in the USA.

We will be adding more products from Alex Blake over the next week or so but if you are in the USA and can’t wait then take a look at their site. So far we added a Donna Karan Shop, Givenchy Shop, Hanes Shop and a Hue Shop

We have also started to add flags to the shop pages so you can quickly see where our various suppliers are located and ship from. Most suppliers will ship world-wide. Look out for the flags

Update to the TightsFashion Shop started.

Over the next few weeks we will be updating our shop to include more brands and a larger range of styles in the current brands.

You will also notice that some items in the shop will be priced in $US for our American visitors.

The small profits from sales at the shop help to cover the considerable costs of running the site and purchasing hosiery to review.

Review added for Cette Biarritz Tights.

Yet another pair of 100% nylon tights. Just a week after saying 100% nylon is unusual we have reviewed 5 pairs in a 8 days.

The downside is that it is pretty much impossible to make sheer to waist tights in 100% nylon. To get the brief to fit and hold up the legs it needs a different knitting technique from that used for the legs. It has to be said that 100% nylon can make for very sexy legs.

Cervin Paris have shown us the best 100% nylon tights. Cette are a distant second.

On the positive side these tights are very cheap, and our friends at Gipsy generously donated the test pair. Plus if you don’t like Lycra they are 100% Nylon. Oh... and they much are better than no tights at all.

Our logs show that a lot of visitors go to our review to Wolford fatal Neon Tights. This in no great surprise as they are a classic style that all “fans” of tights know of. Our review was years old, and very brief, and had never been updated because the tights are no longer available.

Today we revisited this style and wrote a up to the minute review.

From the sublime to the ridiculous. We also took at look at the Gipsy Leopard Glitter Tights.

No new reviews today but we have been busy adding new pages to the site ready for a comprehensive review of Cervin Paris Tights. We received 15 new samples today including 3 which are only going on sale in September 2006. So remember where you saw them first.

Just likes buses, none for ages and then three all at once. We used the weekend to review our new stockings from Cervin Paris, and what a treat that was. Not the cheapest stockings but among the best we ever saw.

Apologies first for not adding any new reviews in the past 10 days. As anyone living in the UK will know it has not been the best weather for tights.

What we could have done with was the parcel of stockings that arrived today from Cervin Paris. Although we dedicate ourselves mainly to tights, that being what most ladies wear, there are times when stockings, particularly 100% silk stockings, are more appropriate for the weather.

Today we added pages for Cervin Paris Champs Elysees Silk Stockings, Cervin Paris Esprit Couture Stockings, Cervin Paris Capri 7 denier Stockings and Cervin Paris Sensual 20 denier hold-up stockings.
