Our Review
When these tights arrived for review our hearts sank, they look simply gorgeous but they are 60 denier microfibre and it is the middle of July so it will be far to hot to try them for months... but the great British summer came tour rescue, 14C here today and perfect for a nice pair of warm tights.
Mona is another of those Polish brands who manufacture their hosiery in Italy so we have high hopes that the quality of manufacture will match the quality of the design., There are 3 sizes to choose from but just one colour, Fumo which is Italian for smoke.
As we had hoped these are well made tights with flat seams in the panty and a cotton gusset, the legs are unshaped. The pattern runs all the way from the toe seam to the waistband without interruption so you can wear with your very shortest skirts or shorts.
Sizing is based on height and hip size (literally translated into English as haunch but they meant hip). Sizing is on the generous side of accurate with plenty of stretch in the leg for taller girls, our model had no trouble with wearing medium even though she normally wears large. Fit is very good.
As for the design a classic check pattern can be very unflattering if you have anything but very slender legs, although it does show off shape very well; this clever constantly varying check pattern really adds curves where there are none and distracts the eyes from any irregularity. The combination of the check and dark grey/ light grey pattern is highly flattering, disguising heavy legs and making any leg shape look good.
As for value for money such flattering, comfortable and warm tights are well worth the asking price of £10.35, the good news is that because they are from a past season ITSocks have a few pairs remaining at £5.99.
