Our Review

When we were offered these leggings for review we were asked whether we would accept them as they are not tights. This set us to thinking what really defines the difference between leggings and tights.

After much thought we decided that the most simple definition is that tights you would normally wear under a skirt or shorts and leggings are an outer garment suitable for wearing with nothing on top. Now we do see a few sights where a woman is clearly under dressed, there have even been a few slip ups from celebrities, but on the whole we would say the definition depends largely on how you wear the garment. 

Marilyn describe these tights as leggings but being lace from top to bottom and made with a 30 denier yarn we have to say they are too light and see through for that description.  The inclusion of a cotton lined gusset suggests a design intended to be worn next to the skin, definitely tights not leggings.

So these are tights and we will review them as such.

A comment first on sizing.  The size chart details 4 sizes, Small to Extra Large, our test pair came in M/L so we can only guess how big they are meant to be.  Also the size tables provide measurements for some countries but don’t say whether they are hips or waist. Essentially these are stretchy fishnet tights so with luck the sizing will be very flexible.

As we had hoped and expected there is plenty of stretch so that M/L will easily cover the range of medium-large-extra large.  The fit is very good and these are comfortable tights to wear.  The gusset greatly enhances both fit and comfort at the top of the leg but is far too small to do anything in terms of maintaining modesty.

In case you didn’t read this before these are net tights that are entirely see through.... wear them without a skirt or shorts and you will get arrested!

The look on the leg is slimming and flattering and the open toe and heel look is highly effective.  Paired with a pair of heels leaving just a little skin exposed the look is stunning.   Wear on their own in the warmer months or pair with a sheer pantyhose in the cooler months.

As we have come to expect from Polish hosiery manufacturers, great design, quality manufacture and a sensible price.
