Our Review
As far as construction goes these are as about as basic as a pair of tights can be. Straight legs finished with simply seamed toes joined by a single seam in the body and topped of with a simple fold over type waistband.
The stripe design goes all the way from toe to waistband, which is good, but no effort has been made to line the stripes across in the panty, which is not. It is symptomatic of Leg Avenue as a brand that these tights are made as cheaply as possible.
There is some redemption in how these tights look and feel on the leg though. They are quite soft and comfortable and in spite of the absence of Lycra the stretch and fit in the legs are quite good. The fit in the body is not comfortable due to the lack of gusset.
The colours are bold and not overly muted but stretching, although we did notice an odd change of knit at the top of each leg.
A fun design to wear once and discard, an interesting design idea poorly executed. Jonathan Aston Ringers or Pamela Mann Twickers Tights are a similar idea but slightly better made and probably worth the extra cost.
