Our Review
They say that first impressions are important, and normally a pair of tights “speaks” to us as we take it from the packet. It has to be said that with this pair we were not sure what it was saying.... it is soft in the hand but the look of the leg was quite confusing crepe matt with a hint of satin shine is accurate but somewhat meaningless.
The construction is far easier to explain. The legs are slightly shaped at the heel and finished with a reinforced toe. The heavier panty is a long leg style with a narrow patterned transition to the sheer legs. Body seams are good quality but not flat. Smaller sizes have a cotton gusset but larger sizes such as our test pair have an unlined comfort rear panel. The waistband is a simple sewn over type just over 2cm deep.
We were all set to dislike these tights until we saw them on a leg... what a transformation! The legs are most certainly satin finish with a really strong shine that almost glows, perfectly smooth and with great even colour. The panty section is not so impressive, the patterned transition from the leg to panty digs in a little and the long leg design won’t win any beauty contests. At £4.25 we might also expect to see flat seams.
Sizing is accurate and in size 4 the comfort gusset really was comfortable and did not spoil the fit in the seat.
A slightly odd mixture of stunning legs with a boring everyday brief. I think we finished this review as confused as we started it.
The legs really do look stunning though if you like your tights shiny.
