Our Review
Le Bourget supply these tights in an open packet so the first challenge is to separate nylon from cardboard without destroying either, particularly important if like us you like to keep hosiery in the original packaging. One benefit of this exercise is that you get plenty of opportunity to feel how smooth and soft these tights are.
The construction of these tights in quite simply but the double colour adds interest. The legs are straight, white at the front and black at the rear, there is no reinforcement at the toe and the weight and finish are constant all the way to the waistband. The black and white halves meet with a fine pinstripe transition, just one line of stitches of the alternate colour either side of the boundary.
In the panty there are flat seams and a cotton lined gusset, the gusset, seam stitching and waistband are all white.
There are three sizes and the size chart suggests a maximum weight of 77kg (170lbs) and a maximum height of +1.75m (+5’9”); we assume the + means over so there is no indication of just how big they are supposed to go, but as the chart suggests the maximum heights and weights can be combined there should be considerable latitude on one or the other.
There really is strength and stretch in abundance, we found the largest size would cope with a 36” long toned leg coupled with 44” hips with no problem at all.
Fit is very good and the colour is perfectly even with a matt finish. White hosiery can make your legs look fat but combining with black makes for a long slender look and emphasises your curves.
Well made, well designed , comfortable and eye-catching tights that are very sensibly priced
