Spring is in the air and it will soon be time to swap your black opaques for sheer summer tights. These are ultra light sheer to waist tights finished with a sandal toe detail, flat seams in the panty and a cotton lined gusset; exactly as described on the packet in fact.
To give some strength there is a very narrow strip of heavier knit either side of the seams in the panty and an even heavier finger band which connects to the plain waistband; waistband and finger band are each around 3.5cm deep.
There are 4 sizes to fit most figures up to 6’1” (185 cm) tall. The sizing is accurate and the high Lycra content gives plenty of stretch and an excellent fit. Le Bourget say “second skin” and they are not wrong, you get a little colour and a healthy sheen with only the sparkle in direct sunlight to give away the fact you are wearing hosiery. Wear paler shades in the spring and go slightly darker as the summer progresses.
Perhaps a little expensive at almost €11.00, particularly for UK buyers, but excellent Spring/Summer hosiery that feels stronger than the 10 denier weight would suggest.
