Our Review
How short can a pair of tights get before they stop being tights? Footless, certainly still tights; Capri length, arguably still tights; ending mid thigh... Jonathan Aston were right to call these shorts. Aside from coming packaged like tights, and being as transparent as tights there is no similarity.
What you get for your £15 is a pair of very transparent lace shorts designed to be worn under a skirt. There is just the one size and the detailing excludes a gusset so sizing and fit could be an issue. Unlike tights the legs are seamed up the inside rather than being knitted as a tube, both the leg seams and the panty seams are well finished but not flat. The seams all come together where the gusset ought to be which could prove uncomfortable, a point of weakness or both.
The lace, the waistband and the cuffs (attached with a flat seam) can only be described as pretty... ever so pretty!
There is an amazing amount of stretch for a 100% nylon garment, unless you are exceptionally big they should fit. The styling really draws attention to your thighs so it will suit ladies with firm tanned thighs best. If you are lacking a tan then these shorts will be perfect over sheer natural tights.
We really wanted not to like these shorts but in the end we have to say that they look great and really add something to an outfit. Our only reservation is about the price which is a little high for the quality of the detailing.
