These tights are designed for the prevention of varicose veins and other leg problems. In addition to firm support on the legs these tights also have a "reducing and shaping" panty.
Our Review
First impressions are of a heavy box, rather too much for tights. Opening the box reveals that the tights are the weight.. Not the box. These tights are clearly engineered to do a job.
Close inspection reveals a fully shaped leg, sewn shaped heel, flat seams and a boxer style brief.
As the test pair are size 4 there is no gusset as such, just a back panel from the crotch to the waistband. The back panel is well shaped, being wider at the hip level than at the waist.
The technique of putting both hands down the leg to make a tube to put your foot and leg into to put them on will not work, these tights are far to strong. These tights need to be bunched up and gradually smoothed over foot and leg. As indeed it explains in the enclosed instructions if you take the time to read them first!
The compression on the legs is progressive, and noticeably so, Very strong at the ankle reducing to almost nothing at the brief. The toes area has no compression.
You would not be buying these tights to look sexy, but having said that they do not look at all bad. In fact they could be confused for a very fine micronet style. Fit is of course fantastic.
If you like or need support tights then these are superbly engineered and look like they would last for ever.
