Our first comment on these hold ups relates to price. Frequently hold ups are far more expensive than the equivalent tights, in this case the differential is far more reasonable at just £1.

Soft and smooth these stockings feel lovely, and they feel strong and well made too.

Detailing is quite simple, a lightly reinforced toe and a shaped heel are the main features of the leg.  The 5.5cm deep “band” is not lacy as Hudson describe it but very nicely detailed; there are three parallel bands on elastic the upper two of which carry silicone to grip the leg, the third over laps the top of the leg.  Between the supporting bands is a geometric detailing that gives a crisp modern look to the welt. The very top is more delicate but equally stylish.

Unusually Hudson don’t put a size chart on the packet. We tested size III (41-42) which is the largest of the 3 sizes available.

The sizes are : SMALL height 5'0"-5'3"/150-160cm, MEDIUM height 5'4"-5'8"/160-173cm and LARGE height 5'8"-6'1"/173-182cm.  This sizing is spot on.

The fit is very good, the colour is perfectly even and the slight sheen in sunlight of the essentially matt finish is flattering

Excellent hold up stockings that should last you until spring.
