Our Review
This will probably be the first time that we have ever tested the smallest size from a range of five, but this is also the first time we have looked at tights designed specifically for the plus size woman.
The contrast between the sheer leg and semi opaque matt top is immediately apparent, the first impression is very much of supermarket or chain store multipack tights. As you would expect of tights styled for ladies up to 5’7” and 200 lbs the panty looks deep and large and the shaped legs short and full. The distance between the sandal toe and shaped heel is quite small, but of course shorter ladies have small feet even if they are full in the hips. The boxer style panty has good quality seams and a lined gusset.
Wow! The legs have lots of stretch despite the lack of Lycra and fit very well with perfectly even colour, the panty loses that cheap look once on and has the look and feel of 50 denier opaque tights. The run-guard manages to provide a smooth transition between legs and panty.
We didn’t have a short 200lb lady to test these tights on but out web master has the weight, plus an extra 10” of height, even without Lycra in the legs the volume was able to translate easily from width to height.
The 100% nylon legs have the look and feel of classic nylons, and they produce the same swish when you cross your legs too.
Don’t let the “Plus” designation or the rather uninspiring packet design put you off these are very good tights at a sensible price.
