There is certainly a “je ne sais pas” about 100% nylon hosiery, whether it is the allusion to classic nylon stockings, or that the shape of the leg is apparent the moment you remove them from the packet...
These tights are detailed with a boxer style brief, with flat seams, a silk lined gusset and the usual Gerbe signature waistband. All sizes have what Gerbe call a “comfort band” a rear panel rather than the classic round/oval gusset.
Despite the lack of Lycra there is plenty of stretch and the fit is very good on the legs. The feel is smooth and the swish when you cross your legs feels and sounds divine. We found that the absence of Lycra was less welcome in the slightly uninspiring matt panty but the beautiful legs and the excellent heel and toe detailing more than compensate.
A final note on sizing.. We tested size 4, this should fit a lady up to 5’11” (180 cm) and 186 lbs (80 kg). They seemed a little generous so w asked our web master to try them, he is 6’4” and 210 lbs and they were a near perfect fit despite size 6 being nearer the mark. Read the size chart carefully.
