Gerbe is one of the few makers to produce top quality tights in 100% Nylon... the 2% silk in these tights is in the gusset so they do count as 100% nylon!
When you take these tights out of the packet they feel very light and sheer, it is hard to believe that they are 20 denier, they feel more like 8-10 denier.
The detailing is as impeccable as ever with flat seams in the body and the usual Gerbe waistband, one of the best anywhere. There is a rear comfort panel to give improved fit and comfort, not to everyone’s taste but useful in 100% nylon tights where stretch can be limited.
As is fitting for 100% nylon hosiery these tights have the full reinforced heel and toe you would expect to find on classic nylon stockings.
You have a choice of a dozen colours, and six sizes 0-5. Choose your size carefully, there is not much stretch, what stretch there is just serves to improve fit and limit sagging and bagging. The look and feel on the leg is classic nylons, and of course they swish beautifully when you cross your legs.
Not cheap, but gorgeous. And not just for those nostalgic for when all hosiery was 100% Nylon.
