Our Thoughts 10 years on. First we must say that 10 years is a cautious estimate, these were among the very first pairs of tights that we looked at when comparing supermarket tights to brands such as Pretty Polly and Aristoc. Tidying our archive today we found this pair and decided to write a new review to replace the basic notes above that were really for our own use and not for publication. These are classic supermarket tights with straight legs finished with reinforced toes, the panty is around double the weight of the legs and well detailed being styled in the form of a pair of classic briefs rather than a more typical boxer style; there is even an unlined gusset. We are guessing from our notes that the sample pair is sized as medium, in which case the sizing was quite generous. All that Lycra not only provides lots of stretch but it also gives a great skin tight fit. Colour is perfectly even and there is a nice sheen to the finish. The quality of workmanship on the seams is not great it must be said and given that branded tights were around £3 at the time we can understand why these did not get a recommendation. To their credit they are at least as good as what the supermarkets sell now. 29 March 2011 PS... if anyone tells you that tights don’t keep, they are wrong. Kept dry, in a bag in the dark they keep just fine. |
