Our Review
Fancy designs, clever knitting techniques, innovative fibres etc may grab all the attention but for most women sheer tights in natural shades are the reality of hosiery day to day.
You can tell a lot about a hosiery brand by how they approach and execute their basic sheers. 15% Lycra and 15 denier is the standard for most Italian or Polish/Italian makers so this is perhaps the place to make a comparison and the hardest to stand out in.
Gatta have opted to keep things simple in the legs by making them straight and finishing with a reinforced toe detail. In the panty they have gone for sheer to waist construction with T-band reinforcement to provide strength either side of the flat seam and a finger band. To aid fit there is an unlined gusset.
The yarn feels a little harsh in the hand but that is not unusual in gloss hosiery, only the Poles who like their hosiery glossy could call these semi-matt... they are glossy and shiny. The harshness of the yarn almost disappears when the tights are fully stretched on your legs, just enough texture remains to be heard when you cross your legs.
Sizing is accurate with enough stretch to cope if you are leggy for your height. Fit is very good throughout and the gusset and flat seams ensure a high level of comfort.
Very good tights at the top end for quality in the everyday price range. Well worth a look if you like a little shine on your legs. On a par with Hi Shine tights from Gipsy
