Our Review
Proof it it were needed that opaques don’t have to be plain, and you don’t need bright colours to be eye-catching. The pattern on these tights is a random abstract one of dark grey, light grey and burgundy on a sheer black base that shows here and there. The colours are just perfect for the season and the perfect partner for a little black dress, or a little grey dress, or shorts... in fact pretty much anything.
The pattern goes all the way from the toe seams to the narrow finger band that connects to the waistband. The legs are unshaped and the panty is finished with a cotton lined gusset and flat seams. All very nicely made and well finished.
These tights look great on, fit well on the leg and are comfortable; there is plenty of stretch to cope with even the longest of legs. The one problem is that being made in just two sizes rather than the four more usual for Italian brands there has been some compromise in the width and depth of the panty. To be fair the size chart is accurate and there is stretch to go beyond the suggested sizing but a maximum height of 5’9” (175 cm) combined with a weight of 135 lb (61 kg) or 166 cm with 75 kg is really just too small for many real women.
UKTights did plan to stock this brand for the Autumn 2009 season but the limited sizing, less bad in this style than others, caused them to abandon the plan. A pity as the aesthetic aspects of the design are great.
A brand to lookout for, particularly if you are small to average build.
