Our Review

OK who said “football socks”?   That is sort of the first impression you get when you see these tights although nobody here can think of a team that plays in alternating hoops of light and dark chocolate... that is the colouring of what the makers describe as “Tundra”.

Construction is quite straight forward, simple tube legs finished with a toe seam and joined by flat seams in the body.  There is a cotton lined gusset and a plain waistband.  The packet says the toes are reinforced, they are not.

There are just two sizes covering heights and weights up to 75kg (165lb) and 175cm (5’9”).  We were concerned that this may be rather limiting but there is plenty of stretch and the panty is more generous than other styles we have looked at from this maker.  There was some tendency to crease in the back of the knee regardless of how much we tried to smooth and stretch the material; that said there were comfortable tights to wear.

The soft matt finish is attractive but the hoop design is really only for you if you have very slim legs as it accentuates shape and width.

Warm, comfortable, good quality tights that are just the thing for the colder months.  No UK outlet at present as UKTights who supplied the sample decided not to stock them for the 2009/2010 Autumn/Winter season.
