Our Review
We had a huge surprise when we took these tights from the packet, the description mentioned trendy colours but the packet picture seemed to be a largely black on black design, what we saw first was a bright floral motif and a pink stripe!
The colour designs are in fact quite limited in their extent, look carefully at the picture above and you will just see a floral pattern on the left calf, look even more carefully and you will see a pink line on the top of the left leg. The pattern on the top of each leg, front and back runs where suspenders would be if you were wearing stockings, but this is not some faux suspender design. The pattern starts mid way up the panty with a flower and bow design and a broad pink “ribbon” joins this to two progressively smaller floral patterns. With all but the shortest of skirts most or all of the pattern would be out of sight.
The lower leg is made of a fine net/lace pattern which includes some of the floral aspects of the colour patterns. The lace design runs from the simple unreinforced toe to the bottom of the pink “ribbons”. The upper legs and panty are sheer but carry a lace pattern in the style of a suspender belt just below the waistband. The panty has flat seams and a cotton lined gusset.
Sizing is accurate with a generous amount of stretch so the two size should cover most figures easily. The lower leg lace design is a smart alternative to a standard light opaque, although the floral pattern probably means they are more for the evening than for the working day. The lace and ribbon suspender belt design will turn a few heads if you wear a skirt short enough to give a glimpse now and then but it won’t be mistaken for the real thing.
On balance these tights have enough class to stay on the right side of the line between fashion and novelty.
