Reviewing tights is never hard work but just sometimes you open a packet and what you find makes smile and see the World as a better place. Looking at the picture above you really would think the model was wearing leggings and as we hadn’t read the packet notes that clearly say “invisibly reinforced toe” leggings was what expected. The sheer nude feet with their sandal toes were a delightful surprise... and they feel so soft too!
Soft is the best word to describe these tights throughout, they are just lovely to handle. The feel particularly nice inside as they are made with the clever knitting process that effectively adds a matt pattern layer to the outside of a pair of sheer tights.
Detailing is first rate with flat seams and a cotton lined gusset. The bottom of the opaque part has an attractive pattern made by allowing the sheer natural fibres to show through. Geometric, simple and crisp it is smarter than the cuffs most leggings we have seen.
There are three sizes, defined in terms of height and hip size. Maximum sizes for the largest size are suggested as 176 cm tall and 104 cm hips. Happily for taller girls these measurements are very conservative, 176 cm is only 5’9” and we found that a 34” (86cm) leg could easily be accommodated which is a lot of leg for a girl of 5’9”. The hip measurement is accurate though, so don’t try to pinch more than few cm.
To wear these tights are delight. Fit is excellent and the opaque leggings part is smooth and soft to the touch with an excellent matt finish and 40 denier appearance. The foot part is around 20 denier and has a less soft feel externally, although the whole garment feels soft from the inside.
A smart, sexy and sophisticated design and only £7.99 a pair. You would be crazy not to buy some while you can.
