Our Review

This is the first style we have looked at from Polish brand Gabriella.  Like so many Polish tights the basic recipe is 20 denier 85% Nylon and 15% Lycra... and a very good recipe it is too, so have have Gabriella cooked it up. 

There are three sizes available Small, Medium & Large (2,3,4) with the sizes defined based on height and hip size.  Our test pair came in the largest size which should fit up to 176cm tall and 104cm hips (5’9” and 41”).

As to colour, well our friends at ITSocks have this style in black only.

First impressions are very good, these are sheer to waist tights with only the T-band reinforcement in the panty to give strength at the seams.  The seams in the panty and around the lined gusset are flat and well made. The toes are reinforced but only marginally darker than the foot, what really makes them visible is the run stop that is intended to stop holes in the toes running into the foot.

The legs are unshaped and carry a small floral motif on the outside between knee and ankle.

Sizing is accurate and the fit is pretty good. There is just a slight harshness to the yarn.

The finish on the leg is matt and the colour is quite even, just marred by a few dark lines due to knitting faults on our test pair. The lightly reinforced toes look much better once stretched on your foot than they do in your hand, not quite a sandal toe but you could wear with open toe shoes.

Key to the style is the motif above the ankle, this is small enough to be subtle yet well defined enough and sufficiently contrasting with the base fabric to make a statement.

Judged against sheer tights of similar price these tights are a little behind in terms of overall quality but £6 is not too much to pay for tights with a motif to make them stand out from the crowd, and it is a very pretty motif.
