Somebody asked us the other day to recommend a high gloss opaque tight... and almost at the same moment this style arrived for review.
Fiore always provide a lot of quality features in their Golden Line range and this style is no exception. Lightly reinforced toes, flat seams in the panty, a cotton lined gusset and a uniform weight and finish from hip to toe. There are five sizes too with guidance given on hip size, weight and height. Perhaps the only thing lacking is any shaping of the legs.
An interesting detail is that although the outside of the tights is metallic and glossy the inside is soft and black, almost fleece like. Surprisingly this double layer construction was not particularly opaque, if you are in the habit of letting your leg hair go wild under opaque tights in winter then think again, dark hair will show through.
Sizing is on the generous side of accurate and the fit is good following the curves of your legs perfectly... comfortable too.
There is almost a fine net look and feel to the outer layer and the glossiness of the fibre only really showed strongly in direct light. A subtle gloss that will disappoint some but actually broadens the appeal by making these tights more suitable for everyday wear.
Soft against the skin and cosy without being sweaty Fiore have managed to combine style with winter practicality and all at a very reasonable price.
