Our Review
Every now and then someone comes up with something entirely new and this Spring it is Falke who have done it. Sure we have seen bright coloured sheer and opaques in the past but a colour that fades out up the leg is entirely new. The colours are very daring, including the pink on the packet and the lime green that we reviewed.
There are five sizes from Small to Large, only x-Large is omitted from the usual range of Falke sizes. All heights from 4’9 to 5’11 are catered for.
The feel of these tights in your hand is almost as big a surprise as how they look, they feel more like a nylon fabric (blouse or panties) than than tights. Although 15 denier rather than 20 they are most similar to Falke Pure Matt Tights. The similarity extends to the detailing, reinforced toe, shaped heel, sheer to waist, cotton gusset and flat seams in the panty.
Once on the leg the finish takes on a little more of a shine, not as much as a Seidenglatt but more than the Pure Matt. The colour fades out equally on each leg becoming completely white a few inches below the gusset. The feel on the leg is slightly rough, but these are tights to be looked at more than touched. The fit is excellent and the sizing accurate with enough stretch to accommodate a taller wearer if required.
These tights are great quality as well as being great fun. Perhaps not for the office but perfect with a pretty dress at a party.
