Our Review
Falke really have set new standards with their range of fashion tights named after stars of the silver screen; in this case Ava Gardner. These are the first ever tights that we have seen that are sheer at the front and opaque at the back, and we have looked at close on a thousand.
You could just about get away with calling these sheer to waist tights as their is no change of weight or finish between the reinforced toes and the waistband. The 80 denier back extends around the shaped heel and under the foot to the toe seam, well finished of course, and over the top of the toe. The side pattern runs from hip to toe and provides a striking transition between sheer and opaque. As we would expect from Falke there are flat seams and a cotton gusset in the panty.
Putting these tights on is a joy, they feel so soft and really caress your legs. The fit is excellent with plenty of stretch, the colour is perfectly even. In the case of our test pair the colour was a gorgeous purple (Lily)with a black trim. Sizing seems generous with size III fitting our size IV tester.
We cannot express just how much these tights flatter your legs. Paired with heels and and a skirt of suitable length Falke Gardner tights will get you movie star levels of attention.
Not quite the thing for a day at the office maybe, but perfect for the evening or just showing off!.
