Our Review

They say that it is good to be surprised from time to time but today we surprised ourselves in picking out these legging for review ahead of designs that had been waiting far longer for out attention.   They are made in just one size, they are footless and they are expensive, plus even on the packet the colour look uneven! Maybe we were just in the mood to review something we would really hate.

Two plusses straight away good quality packaging and the most delightful shade of royal blue but what do you get for just shy of £20?  Well the legs are straight and finished with a simple plain cuff at the bottom and attached to a lace edged suspender at the top.  The connection between leg and skirt is covered/highlighted by a tiny “skirt” about 4cm deep.  The suspender top has a simple plain waistband and 4 lace edged straps.

The legs look incredibly short but also much heavier than 30 denier, this together with the 25% Lycra in the fibre hints at lots of stretch.  As with all suspender tights you need to take care putting them on, it is all too easy to get your legs into them only to find you forget to put both legs through the waistband.  Overcome that hurdle though and they will stretch easily up your legs.

Despite being one size there is plenty of length in the leg although the same cannot be said of the suspender straps, taller ladies or those with a little more flesh on their hips may find the waistband won’t reach their waist.

We had a few issues with comfort.  The bottom cuff seemed overly big and lacking in stretch and we were never confident that it would stay in place, the top of the leg on the other hand was quite tight and would dig in painfully on a fuller thigh.

Finish on the leg was great, smooth and soft to the touch and perfectly even colour... either the pair photographed for the packet were faulty or the model and photographer should be shot.

I would guess that whoever called these leggings was translating from another language and did not understand what “leggings” means to a native English speaker These are not leggings they are semi-opaque fashion tights.  The suspender detail also precludes them being worn as leggings.  Regular leggings wearers pair them with shorts or a mini skirt, you would need to be very careful with length, particularly of shorts not to end up looking odd.

We don’t hate these tights, but then we haven’t fallen in love with them either.  We can’t fault the quality but the quirky design and high price limit their appeal, to us at least.
