Elle Back Seam Fishnet Tights

Elle Back Seam Fishnet Tights

Our Review

There are essentially two ways of constructing fishnet tights.  One is to knit them in one piece and place a small seam or gusset between the legs.  This detail you will see on the Showstopper fishnets from Elle’s sister company Sock Shop.

The other is the one used here, more in line with sheer tights where each leg is constructed separately with the two joined by a central seam.

The seam on the backs of the legs of these tights is really a stripe, made from a tighter knit than the base fishnet, this is visible in the packet scan and more apparent on the leg.

We were pleased to see that the sizing of these tights was sensible.  “One Size” can be a minefield but these tights fitted well on most sizes and shapes with enough stretch even for our tallest tester.  Unlike many fishnets with these the waistband sits on the waist rather than stretching all the way to your armpits.

Smart and stylish tights let down only by the fact that they tend to take a while to settle to the shape of your leg.  Put them on half an hour or so before going out and they will settle more naturally at knee and ankle.
