Our Review

We haven’t included our customary scan of the packet front for this style as to be frank it is rather uninspiring, just a plain white packet with the brand name down the left, one of the pictures above down the right and three circular holes in the middle so you can see the colour. Of course if you did see these tights in a shop and feel the urge to pick up the packet then the observant shopper would see from the picture that these are seamless tights... a very rare find indeed.

This is the 20 denier version, we will be looking at the 80 denier version soon.

The back of the packet carries has the size and colour label together with a size chart.  There are 3 sizes to cover heights up to 6’1” (185 cm) and weights up to 176 lbs (80kg), although not the maximum height and weight together.

From our perspective the lack of information on the outside of the packet is a real plus... it really heightens the anticipation when opening the packet having no real idea of what is inside.  

First impressions... well the look and feel is quite a surprise, to touch the surface feel is like an opaque, they look and feel quite thick too until you remember that like most seamless tights they are quite tiny in the packet and will stretch very thin on the leg.

The toe detail is most interesting, it appears to be a sandal toe but they have cleverly incorporated a run stop; this will perhaps be an issue when wearing some very strappy sandals but for most open toe shoes it will be ideal, combining the benefits of both the traditional reinforced and sandal toe designs.

Every style of seamless tights has its own way of dealing with the closure in the area of the gusset, as seams are not allowed clever knitting is required.  In some designs this appears as a fine line, in this case there is a heavier area around 4cm by 5cm into which the sheer material is knitted... the same detail is used on Fogal Una Tights.

The waistband is a glossy elastic one, 3cm deep and attached to the sheer body with a perfect flat seam.

These are top quality tights that have lots of stretch and strength.  There is no problem stretching them beyond the recommended sizing, you can safely go to maximum height and weight together and a little taller too.  The effective waistband allows them to be worn either on the hips or on the waist.  As with the Fogal the gusset detail does mean the fit is less “intimate” than the totally sheer seamless, on the upside these are more practical for wear without underwear, which is the only way to get a perfect smooth silhouette.

Colour is perfectly even with a soft matt finish.  On our dark test pair the toe actually looks more sheer than the leg, unusual but not a problem.

These tights are every bit as good as the other seamless tights on the market and if you are tall they are perhaps the best fit too.
