Construction is to a high standard. Cervin are again using the signature waistband that we first saw with Gerbe. Clearly not the cheapest type of waistband to put on tights but one that works well and looks classy.
The quality continues in the brief which is finished with flat seams and a gusset.
You can’t really describe patterned tights as sheer to waist, but these are near enough, the tulle and pattern run uninterrupted all the way to the waistband.
The double helix pattern finishes just above the shaped heel. The foot is finished with a small reinforced toe detail. These are not tights to wear with open toe shoes.
Fit is excellent and the sizing is exactly in accordance with the size chart. There is enough strength and stretch to allow you to get into a smaller size if you are borderline on the chart.
A note on the design. The photograph to the left shows 12 lines of pattern on the right leg, the one you can see most of, on our test pair there were only 7 from ankle to crotch. Fewer more widely spaced lines look more classy and less fussy in our opinion.
The feel on the leg is actually quite smooth, certainly closer in feel to sheers than to fishnets.
Well made, fun tights.
