Our Review
One thing that we can say about Celeste Stein tights is that you always know what you are going to get, that is to say that they only actually manufacture one design. That is not to say that they all look the same as the outstanding feature of each style is the printed pattern.
What we have said about the construction on the review of other styles is “Construction is about as simple as is possible, straight legs, uniform weight from hip to toe, no gusset, raised seams in the panty and a very simple “turn over and sew” type waistband. The design covers the whole of the garment.” And the same applies here.
What we did notice this time was the back of the packet included a tick box so that sizing can be marked... don’t let this fool you though, there are one size tights designed to fit weights from 125lbs to 175lbs. On our sample none of the options were marked anyway. The sizing is on perhaps more generous than this suggests, the 13% Lycra giving plenty of stretch.
The Celeste Stein approach to hosiery means that they can quickly change their range and support a massive number of designs. We still have graver reservations about paying a premium price for what are really very cheap tights. Of course if a particular design is precisely what your outfit requires then the price really is not relevant.
If you really need a pattern of random white hearts on a red background these are the tights for you.
