Boots have their HQ in Nottingham which is right at the centre of the traditional UK hosiery manufacturing industry so it it a little disappointing to report that our test pair of these tights was made in Turkey.

£4.00 puts this style into competition with the major brands, it is great to see that Boots offer 4 sizes and that their sizing system is based on height and dress size... major brands please note!

So what do you get for your money? Well the tights are just on a card in the cardboard packet, an inner plastic bag would have added a degree of protection but our test pair was in perfect condition.  

Soft and feather light these 10 denier tights are sheer to waist and the straight legs are finished with a sheer sandal toe. The panty has a large cotton lined gusset and very wide reinforced bands either side of the central seam.  The finger band which provides a transition to the plain waistband is a slightly narrower.

The seams are well made although there was a slight misalignment at the waistband on our test pair.

Sizing is accurate but some careful stretching will be required if you are long in the leg.  Fit is very good from hip to toe so you will get that “is she? isn’t she?” look not unlike Boots Bare Tights.

Our one disappointment was that in adjusting the waistband our model put her finger through the finger band and the ladder ran through and down the leg.  The finger band should be both stronger and designed to stop runs “escaping” into the leg.  

Great bare leg look tights that a comfy to wear but £4 is a lot to pay if you ladder them so easily, if you are in Boots buy the Bare Tights.
